شهدت عدة مدن في جميع أنحاء البلاد يوم الاثنين 28 أغسطس / آب تجمعات و مسیرات احتجاجیة اسبوعیة. للمتقاعدون واصحاب المعاشات في قطاع الاتصالات مع استمرار تدهور ظروفهم المعيشية ورفض الملالي الحاكمين تلبية احتياجاتهم. وتم الإبلاغ عن مسيرات في 17 محافظة في جميع أنحاء إیران
کما طالب المتظاهرون بالاحتياجات الأساسية التي رفعوها منذ أكثر من 13 عاماً، وكان النظام يتجاهلها باستمرار. ويشمل ذلك قانونًا صدر عام 2010 ويلزم شركة الاتصالات الحكومية برفع معاشات المتقاعدين وتزويدهم باحتياجاتهم الأساسية.
وفي مشهد، كان المتظاهرون يهتفون: “إذا قلّت قضية الاختلاس، فسوف تُحل مشاكلنا”. في إشارة إلى فساد المسؤولين والجهات الحكومية، الذين يسرقون مليارات الدولارات من الثروات والأموال الوطنية لأغراضهم الخاصة على حساب العمال والمعلمين والمتقاعدين وغيرهم من شرائح المجتمع.
وهتف المتظاهرون في تبريز: “ارفعوا صوتكم واهتفوا بحقوقكم!”، و”لن نتوقف حتى نحصل على حقوقنا!”. معبرين عن إصرارهم على استئناف احتجاجهم الأسبوعي للمطالبة بحقوقهم.

في السنوات القليلة الماضية، كان المتقاعدون في جميع أنحاء إيران يحتجون على ظروفهم المعيشية المتدهورة، خاصة وأن الحكومة ترفض تعديل معاشاتهم التقاعدية على أساس معدل التضخم والتقلبات في سعر الريال، العملة الوطنية الإيرانية. وارتفعت أسعار معظم السلع الأساسية عدة أضعاف، في حين لا يزال المتقاعدون يتلقون نفس الرواتب كما كان من قبل.
وفي الأهواز، المتظاهرون يهتفون: “لقد سرقوا المساهمين حصتنا”، في إشارة إلى مسؤولي النظام والأفراد الذين لهم علاقات بالنظام والذين يسيطرون على صندوق تقاعد شركات الاتصالات ويستخدمون موارده لتمويل أنشطتهم غير المشروعة.

وبينما يواصل مسؤولو النظام الاستفادة من صناديق التقاعد، فإن حياة المتقاعدين تدفع إلى مزيد من الفقر والبؤس. وكان المتظاهرون يهتفون . “ثلاجات المتقاعدين أصبحت فارغة أكثر من أي وقت مضى!”
